Using the Confidentiality Bit to Hide Data in Active Directory

March 31, 2013

Hiding data is quite a complex topic, and I was under the impression that if someone was a domain admin then they have access to everything or if they didn’t they could give themselves access. So I was surprised to hear about the Confidentiality Bit which can be used to hide data in AD.

It’s a bit complex to use, but if you need to use it is available for this purpose, so enjoy!
