Gratuitous ARP and DAD

August 26, 2013

Well its a slow bank holiday monday here, I have finished all this weeks work on my Open University course in 6 hours this morning, so now I am catching up on some light reading. One of the oldest blog articles I added to Pocket was analysing and understanding gratuitous ARP (Address Resolution Protocol) and DAD (Duplicate Address Detection) which can cause hell on your network if you don’t understand it.  Even if you do understand it, its still good to have a refresher!
