Printing in Windows 8 (massive improvements!)

November 1, 2014

Printing and printers are a major part of most work environments, and having old printers hanging round or printers mapped across WAN links can all have adverse impact on pc logon and general usage. In Windows 8, the whole printer and driver architecture has been revamped into v4 which is the first new version since Windows ME (ouch!).

Have a read of the link below, it majorly puts your mind at ease and allows you to understand the complexity of the printer driver environment and how it’s now been improved.

Another reason to upgrade to Windows 8 corporately in my mind!
