RESOLVED: MS16-072 Causing Issues with GPO’s

June 15, 2016

UPDATE: The KB for this patch has now been updated on why this has caused issues for some people.  It’s basically because the security context in which the GPO is read used to be in the user’s context however after this patch is installed then they are read using the computer context.  So update your GPO’s to ensure Authenticated Users have read permissions and/or Domain Computers have read permissions and then you won’t have a problem.

This update patches a security issue with Group Policy Objects however is now causing issues with hidden drives, showing up and various other mapping printers/drives issues.  The way around it is to uninstall it from PCs and servers
